In order to preserve the delicate ecological balance of the Galapagos Islands, the cruises, number of visitors and guided tours to each of the islands are scheduled and operated under very strict guidelines and in close coordination and with the approval of the Galapagos National Park authorities.

The tours offered in Galapagos are based on a combination of four, five or eight day cruise programs. Air transportation between Ecuador’s mainland and its Galapagos Islands is additional. Air service to Galapagos is offered between either Quito or Guayaquil and Baltra Airport (GPS) or San Cristobal (SCY). TAME Airlines operate to both airports. At present time AEROGAL is flying only to San Cristobal Island.

Both airlines operate with Boeing 727-200 aircraft. Some Galapagos operators use Baltra for their cruise operations and others San Cristobal. The air fares are the same to each airport and are subjected to 12% local taxes and $5.00 airport facility and security fees. Tickets for either airline may be purchased in the USA through our website.
